Generate iTunesMusicStore newsfeeds

RSS-news feeds allows you to read headlines from different sites without having to launch a browser and visit the site,- all you need is a good newsreader. That way you can easily browse numerous sites (provided you know the RSS-newsfeed url) and only load those pages you find relevant. Finding those url's can be a bit difficult, but a quick google search should be able to provide you with some of the most popular ones.
Anyway,- it's now possible to generate rss-newsfeeds to the iTunesMusicStore. That way you can easily see when the store is updated. Check out the iTunesMusicStore RSS feed generator...
If you install Konfabulator and one of the newsfeed widgets, you can have a floating window open that keeps you updated with iTunesMusicStore...ehhh updates.

New Daft Punk album out soon?!

Since these two french guys are quite "loco", it's hard to tell wether there's new album in the press, or wether this announcement is just another PR-stunt to get attention. I think, and hope, there's a new album coming soon. It's been three years since they released their latest album "Discovery",- or do they really mean "Disco very"..hmmmm

Life on Mars?!...ESA have found ice on Mars

The European orbiter Mars Express detected ice at the Red Planet's south pole.
NASA's Mars Odyssey, also an orbiter, confirmed water ice at the north pole, along with dry ice -- frozen carbon dioxide -- in 2002. It picked up signs of hydrogen at the south pole, the first indication that water ice might be found there.
Mars Express confirmed Odyssey's suspicions about the south pole. Water is thought to be essential to life, so the recent discovery suggest the possibility of finding life on Mars.

QuickAccessCM - indispensable OS X utility

Although OS X is the most superior operating system there is, I've always though it had one serious flaw. Whenever I wanted to move a folder or a file from one location to another, I had to drag it around through the system. I had to select the file, drag it onto a folder, wait for the springloaded folder to open, locate the desired folder and release the mousebutton,- that is if the destinationfolder is located futher down the hierachy. If the desired destinationfolder was in turn placed inside two or three folders this would soon become annoying. Offcourse, I could always open another Finder window, but that takes up a lot of screenspace and is, I think, poor screen "realestate". Luckyly, someone has made a small contextual menu (CM) plugin to fix that nuisance. The CM is called QuickAccess CM, and can be downloaded and used for free, from the www.Abracode.com website. Download the file (unstuff if necessary) and place it in the following folder: Home (user)->Library->Contextual Menu Items, and then log out/log in. If you now have to move or copy a file to a location on the hd, just control+click (or right-click if you have a two-button mouse) the file, select "move to"/"copy to" and then locate the desired destinationfolder for the file(s) from the opening dialogue. Actually it works just like when you control+click (or right-click if you have a two-button mouse) file and selects "Move to trash",- but with this CM installed you have more than just one option for a destination.
The CM is especially usefull if you have to move multiple files. Did I mention the CM is completely free...I did, didn't I? Enjoy :-)
