Kickass animation - Mars Rover
Maas Digital founder Dan Maas created this dramatic, scientifically accurate computer animation to illustrate NASA's Mars Exploration Rover mission. Don't miss it...it's very realistic and very impressive!

QuickSilver - Best 2004 Mac OS X application so far?

Even though it's still a beta-version this application is insanely great!!!!! It's by far the most exciting new release of 2004 to this date.
It is essentially just another one of those type-the-first-few-letters-to-launch affairs, the preferences allow you to choose what items to search. You can tab to the second field to choose an action. It's extremely quick, customisable, powerful and unobtrusive. The app. quickly scans the following folders at start-up: Applications, System, Addressbook, Internet Bookmarks, Recent Items, Scripts etc. You can add more folders yourself, e.g.the Documents folder. You'll have instant access to all your files and applications with a single keystroke. QuickSilver even offers a built-in enhancement to the copy/paste-feature in OS X, so that you'll be able to copy/paste an infinite number of items instead of only just one. As an extra bonus you can download some great scripts for free from the developers site. There are three ways in which you can view the "search-field"...I've posted two of them here:

In this view you only see it in the menu-bar...very unobtrusive

Althought it really doesn't matter, it also has the coolest "fast-fade-away"-feature when you've launched an app. or file....just to add the last little spice to this great program. The developer could easily charge 20 $ or more for this app.....but he didn't! It's free!

US Maximum Security Prisons - Supermax

Supermax-prisons are high security prisons where inmates are kept isolated 24/7. It's a facility for "the worst of the worst". There are no jobs, no activities, hardly any educational programs and barely any human contact. You are locked in your 8-by-10-foot cell almost around the clock. You can't see the other prisoners in the cells adjoining yours, nor the guards watching from a central observation booth. Most of the time, all you can see through the fingertip-sized perforations in your cell's solid steel door is the wall of the eight-cell pod, the larger cage containing your cage. Guards deliver your meals. Once a day, the remote-controlled cell door grinds open, and you get 90 minutes to spend alone in a walled-in courtyard—a place more like the bottom of a mine shaft than an exercise yard. Your allowed to have 6 photographs and 4 books in your cell. 2 of them must deal with religious matters. If you can afford it and if you haven't violated any restrictions, you can be allowed to have a television in your cell. You won't be able to watch public television, but only the prisons own closed circuit television network where they show educational programs. The cell lights are never turned off, and prisoners who try to cover them to shield their eyes are penalised, setting back their chances of ever returning to a normal jail. Prisoners leaving the cell block wear a set of rigid metal handcuffs, known as a black box, which allows no movement of the wrists. They are strip-searched on their way out and on their way back. In some states, the conditions are even more extreme-e.g., lack of windows, denial of reading material, a maximum of three hours a week out-of-cell time, lack of outdoor recreation.
America's supermaxes have been denounced as inhumane by organizations from Amnesty International to the United Nations.
I don't see why the US practices capital punishment when they have these kind of facilities...This must be worse than
"The Chair".

loco in a place like that...within two days!
Anyway..
some of them do deserve to be locked up in a place like that...maybe...dunno...

Christopher Walken, 61 year old actor known from movies such as "Pulp Fiction" and "The Deer Hunter", shows off his
dancing skills. Apparently Walken initially intended to study dancing instead of acting...I didn't know that (no surprise...).

Once again...Too much traffic

Got a phonecall from my ISP asking me to take down some of the .mpeg's I had uploaded to www.ecotox.dk. The .mpeg's were generating an enormous amount of traffic,- on monday 55000 people had tried to download the "Human dolphin"-mpeg, and my ISP had a hard time handling the traffic. We agreed to limit the amount of traffic allowed to the site, so that their business didn't f... up.....I like traffic..:-)

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog has..ehh...insulted the Canadians

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog from the Conan O'Brien TV Show (a hand puppet that is a regular on the show) has really pissed of the Canadians. Triumph insulted people in French-speaking Quebec and seemed to suggest everyone in the province was homosexual. At one point in the show said to a Quebecer: "You're French, you're obnoxious and you no speekay English." It told another: "I can smell your crotch from here."
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog has landed in trouble before, most famously when it had an altercation with rap singer Eminem at a music awards show in 2002. Poor Eminem was soo scared of the little insult dog he didn't dared to let himself get interviewed by Triumph.
Check out
Triumph's website....and don't forget to visit his
"For me to poop on"-service!!Wanna see who I'm talking about?
Here's some very very funny clips from the show...the "Westminster dog show"-clips are probably the most funny...
